Last night, our company’s softball team (the Silver Foxes) played its fourth game in the city’s recreational league. I think we may have finally hit our stride because we came closer than ever before to winning and scored two runs less during that game than all our other games combined. Way to go, Silver Foxes!

PAL® Peer Assistance and Leadership is an award-winning, Nationally Recognized Evidence-based Prevention Program owned and operated by WAP. The mission of the PAL® Peer Assistance and Leadership program is to empower young people to use their potential to make a difference in their lives, schools and communities through a foundation of peer-helping and service learning.
The PAL® curriculum has been used as a tool to prevent substance abuse, teen pregnancy, and youth violence. Through its dozens of statewide youth and teacher trainings, middle school and high school conferences, PAL® students learn to adapt the power of peer pressure to influence others positively and, ultimately, they make a difference in the lives of others. PAL® recognizes an innate capacity for social understanding, personal well-being, and community participation within every student. Not only does PAL® address a variety of key youth issues, being a PAL® is also fun and transformational!
Donating to WAP would help sponsor a child or adult who would benefit from attending a PAL® training or conference. A donation could also help a child or teacher lighten the burden of accessing training materials, like handbooks and manuals. Please, visit Amplify Austin between March 4th at 7:00pm and 5th at 7:00pm and donate to Workers Assistance Program.
